Professor Falken, the fictional scientist that created the Artificial Intelligence engine named after his child Joshua, in the in the 1980’s movie WarGames, joined LinkedIn recently.
What happened? Using both the information from the movies, and the information from the wiki fandom page, The professor’s employment history and academic history was placed in an approximately accurate timeline with a photo of the actor John Wood. Who has stared in over 110 movies.
Then you won’t believe what happened next,
debate started in private messages regarding who the Falken character was based on. Some suggested, Friedkin, others suggested John Von Neumann, still more suggested Claude Shannon, and Richard Feynman.
But that isn’t all, because the profile was setup as an MIT alum, networking request started to flood into the profile, many CEO’s of crypto currency, Head’s of engineering of Fin-tech applications. Cloud computing Vice-presidents. Lot’s of people wanted to network and connect to a completely fictional character.
But, sometimes business life is stranger than fiction.
